What options are you missing? The feature noted above is under Outbound Routes.

Oh how I wish I could get on the phone with you for a few minutes… I don’t see the options under Outbound Routes.

Sounds like you don’t have Page Pro licensed. If you do it’ll show in Admin, System Admin, Activation and will show on the licenses tab for the deployment when you login to portal.sangoma.com

Calendar Authentication Type, NTLM

Hello! I was having an issue a few months ago with getting my Calendar module to authenticate with EWS. The returned response was “401 Unauthorized,” which from what the community told me was just a bad password or cert - basically that Microsoft was responsible for sending the error code. Makes sense, but doesn’t help me toward a resolution.

This week, one of my team decided to dig in for a few more hours, and found that it is related to the NTLM authentication attempts. By changing the line in /var/www/html/admin/modules/calendar/vendor/jamesiarmes/php-ntlm/src/SoapClient.php that reads:
CURLOPT_HTTPAUTH => CURLAUTH_BASIC | CURLAUTH_NTLM,
to
CURLOPT_HTTPAUTH => CURLAUTH_BASIC,

we were able to get successful authentication and use our calendar module again. I started looking for a possible fix on this on the exchange side (maybe I can ignore NTLM requests?), but so far have been unsuccessful. Disabling NTLM seems to be a big deal with far reaching consequences.

Perhaps my best route would be a feature request to add “authentication type” as an option on the FreePBX calendar configuration module? I don’t want to have to patch this file every time I update core.

Just for the sake of testing, can you try installing FreePBX 13 and see if the error still persists?

It doesn’t show in Activation, but there’s also no option to buy in Module Admin. So…how to get it? I just looked it up. Not expensive at all.

Extension not register over WAN

Thank you for your reply. I’ve been troubleshooting the issue with my trunk provider. I’ve made some headway but it’s still not operational. 1st, let me clarify, the server WAN is directly connected to the Internet. So, no need for NAT rules on the server side. 2nd, I’ve enabled "CHAN_SIP protocol on the server to allow the remote extension to register. 3rd, I’ve changed the NAT Mode for the extension from No (default) to Yes. The extension is now registered on the server. I can ring the extension now. But that is all I can do. As soon as the extension is picked, the server ends the call. I suspect the issue has to do with remote extension. How do I NAT the firewall with 2 remote extensions?

Call extension to run "core reload"

This is a known problem with Chan-SIP. It was actually one of the drivers for the establishment of PJ-SIP.

Instead of initiating the reload from the inside, you could also look into using a system like Nagios to check and see if the host is registered and, when that fails, initiate a core reload from the monitoring app.

Easy cheesy. Thank you kindly. This is a small motel with 21 guest rooms. Owner wants the cheapest garbage analog phones available for the rooms. Office will have 3 SIP phones and an analog cordless. Owner wants rooms to not dial each other, but can dial to the office and have 911 access. Office and cordless analog phone must be able to dial anywhere.

My system selection so far is:

PBXExact 40
Vega 3000G ATA
Vega 60 FXO
PMS pro
Paging Pro

Any thoughts?

Logs would come in handy for this.

Can you pull out a log of one of these calls so we can see what’s happening. Since the “*” and extension parts are working, it’s going to be something about a setting somewhere, I expect.

Extension not register over WAN

A troubleshooting step that would help is to include an extract of the /var/log/asterisk/full log when the call is made and fails.

A second helpful piece would be a SIP DEBUG on the extension so we can see what addresses and ports the phone is trying to use.

Call Recording Download History

We need to be able to see who downloaded a call recording, and when. Is there a way to do this outside of the access_log? I ask because the access_log only shows the current month.

Thank you for your help!
