I switched "conference room app" to app_confbridge from app_meetme and paging survives a reboot. I don't know if anything else that depends on dahdi would work or not because I don't know what else depends on dahdi. The conference room app help states "The app_confbridge application is considered 'experimental' with known issues" and this makes it a little scary but at least it works for now.
