Looking to have scheduled outbound TTS calls with Appointment Reminder

$

Hello @mbrodeur,

Please take a look at SIP Caller, a cloud based outbound call dialer that can be easily integrated with FreePBX, and will do what you need.

SIP Caller connects as a remote extension to your system, and then makes the calls that you need. You can easily define a call flow for appointment reminder (there is a template for that ready to be used), create a campaign, and upload the numbers to call, so SIP Caller starts calling your customers and collecting their input (if they want to confirm or reschedule the appointment).

The dialer will provide real time and historical reports, so you know who confirmed and who didn’t.

We provide a free version which you can use with a limited number of calls per day, or very affordable plans when you need a higher volume.

Please feel free to contact me in case of needing help with this.

Kind regards.

Based on your screenshot, it would seem that the backup module uses the /tmp directory during the process.

how can I change the backup directory? And if I change it does it will affect the system and could cause errors?

you can’t easily but first see what is in /tmp , do you have core-dumps? , you can mostly delete everything in /tmp and reboot

/tmp should be ephemeral but I have heard that some distros don’t do that

Problem with outbound call

Hi Andy,

  1. The “All circuits are busy now” recording is a default recording on FreePBX.
You will hear it when call is failing to reach or be answered by the trunk, and the system does not have any other trunks to failover the call through.

I assume you have only one trunk on your outbound route, and that’s the reason for this sound message.

(you can also see the system try to find another trunk as failover from the log you attached: == Everyone is busy/congested at this time (1:0/1/0))

  1. I assume PJSIP/MyCompany-0000001b is your call provider.
You should see the real status of the failed call on /var/log/asterisk/full and more relevant data.

It can be connection / network issue between your server and the provider or something wrong on your provider side which you can resolve with them.

As you mentioned, it is happened not in all calls so maybe something is wrong with number format?

I will recommend to check with the provider, then you could understand whether they got the call and failed it from their end for some reason, or if it is a connection issue.

Hello everyone, I’m having trouble assigning Call Pickup/Group Call Pickup to SCCP extensions.
I cannot assign the extensions to their respective capture groups, there is some other way to do it apart from the web, it is on the web where I do not see the option to assign the capture group.

I am afraid that something is wrong with this version of Asterisk that we are using.

See full call trace: Queue 8002 - Pastebin.com

Extension 323 called the queue 8002, it tried calling extension 329 but it was busy, so it went to next extension 440, and it rang for 6 seconds, which then responded busy:

The queue marked that 440 didn’t answer after 6 seconds:

[2024-05-22 14:05:28] VERBOSE[81273][C-000231e3] app_queue.c: Nobody picked up in 6000 ms

Next extension 328 was busy, so extension 314 was next in line,

[2024-05-22 14:05:28] VERBOSE[81273][C-000231e3] app_queue.c: Called Local/314@from-queue/n

But, after 2 seconds, it stopped ringing 314 and marked that it rang by 314 for 8 seconds.

[2024-05-22 14:05:30] VERBOSE[81273][C-000231e3] app_queue.c: Nobody picked up in 8000 ms

It looks to me like it combined the ring time time of 440 and 314 to reach 8 seconds…

Perhaps I am missing something?

Thanks

I believe you would want to set this to yes to have the timeout restart:

; If timeoutrestart is set to yes, then the timeout for an agent to answer is
; reset if a BUSY or CONGESTION is received. This can be useful if agents
; are able to cancel a call with reject or similar.
;
; timeoutrestart = no

CID superfecta - EZCNAM gone

Hi Peter

I opened a ticket, but never raised a formal pull request for this change. @vsc55 (Javier Pastor) created a better version based on using the EZCNAM API, and it’s not clear if that was ever raised as a pull request either. Since this work was done, all FreePBX development has moved to GitHub.

Javier, I’ve found a copy of the code you did that was on git.freepbx.org back before it was shut down, and saved it with the original in a Gist here. Do you want to raise a PR for this on GitHub?

You can email service @sangoma.com and this will also create a ticket. I would suggest TWO emails, one for your login issue, and another for your actual ticket you need to create.

Smart BLF - P Series XML

I am looking into upgrading from a D65 with EXP-150 to the P325 with PM200.
I currently have Smart BLF setup on the D65 with a custom XML file for both contacts and the actual BLF.
D65 Contacts.xml example here
D65 BLF.xml example here

My question is, does the XML function the same way between the D Series and P Series?
The docs here are less than helpful because it doesn’t show what a sample BLF.xml file or contacts.xml would actually look like, whereas the docs for the D series phones are very thorough and do show examples.
