Sorry, I made a mistake regarding the format of Poland toll-free numbers; the Wikipedia article appears to be in error. I’m reasonably sure that 7 digits after the 800 is correct; for example see the entry for Poland in https://secure.hilton.com/en/hi/feedback/hrwfone.jhtml . You could ask Inotel why they did not accept the format you sent. Or, if you have other trunking providers on your system, try them.

I don’t understand your question about Twilio. What do you mean by ‘the number for Poland’? The article you linked refers to toll-free numbers (in Poland and many other countries) that they sell. The number is of course different for each customer.

You should know that the resounding silence is because you’re asking a bunch of people to throw guesses at you, at which point (experience tells us) the problem will be solved and we’ll never hear from you again (which is why you’re having trouble finding solutions) or that you’ll just tell us that we’re wrong.

As an alternative, tell us more about the phones, the firmware, the hardware versions, the size of the image, and whatever other pertinent details you can think of to spark some interest in helping. As it is, this question is a tough one to get traction on since we have so little to go on.

Thank you Itzik and TomRay, I tried and verified both the ring group and PJSIP suggestions. These work, but do not provide my client’s desire for intermediate grouping of devices. I found and patched the FreePBX 13 bug that prevents editing of intermediate follow-me’s with trailing ‘#’ so this is a preferred solution for my client. I’m new to this community. Can you point me to where I can learn the procedure for contributing patches? Thanks again.

Do you have localhost in your /etc/hosts file?

Log into the console of the server and type “mysql -uroot” and see what happens.

The short answer is:

You need to fill out the nondisclosure/release form and then send in your patch as a Feature Request.

There is a longer answer in the Wiki, but I’m having trouble getting to it right now (local network policy problem).

I should have said “df -k” so the report is in 1k blocks instead of 512byte blocks.

Your root drive is full (100m 512-byte blocks, or 50,000,000 1K blocks).

For some reason, you don’t have a ‘/var’ directory (which is where all of your dynamic files should go). Between the two, you don’t have enough space. Without deep-diving into your current drive space, there’s no way for us to know where all your space went, but it looks like you’ve got about 50G used.

Is there some way to automatically delete them some number of days after they are created?

Also, I went from FreePBX 11 to 14, so it wasn’t really an upgrade so much as a start over from scratch, copying FreePBX configurations manually. I don’t even think FreePBX 11 used a custom post recording script but even if it did, I sure don’t remember having one, and didn’t see any reference to one in my old settings, and even if there was one there is no way it could have got copied the new system.

Asterisk doesn’t try to run anything post call recording. So I guess there’s no way to email recordings now?

Call Barge Doesn't Always Work

I have some users trying to use the barge feature but it doesn’t always work. Sometimes their phone will ring and all they get is dead air. Most other times they can hear the call they are barging in on.

Any suggestions as to what to look for or what might be causing this?

Very Basic Question - Multiple Handsets using Same Extension (number)

I want my VoIP phone to be able to pick up on a call in progress and simply join in without having to go through a bunch of conferencing steps.

I need to be able to put a single extension “123-4567” on two different phones in the same office. I want to be able to answer an incoming call on one handset and, while the call is still in progress, pick up the phone call on the handset and join the conversation. I want it to work just like (or a as similarly as possible) to a home phone where you can get a call in the kitchen and have someone else pick it up in the bedroom.

I know this may sound very simple but I have been told over and over again in the past that VoIP simply does not do this. Can it be done?

This is for a classroom standalone implementation so anything I am willing to try anything to make it work.

Have a fairly new pbx, not in production yet, but on site.
Performed updates, not all of them, probably around 6, rebooted, then attempted to login.
The gui now errors out, I’m not sure if I’m better off pressing for and installing all updates, which right now, there are 20, or rolling back updates.

I do not know exactly which update, or if I can list all recent updates.

It’s a 13.0.7.1 Freepbx on a proliant dl360, raid 1.

I’ve got installed commercial modules and don’t want to loose them.

Out of 15 or so Freepbx servers, this is the first to chock on an update and now you can’t login to gui. ssh in , works fine.
