Resolved - Tracking a forwarded voicemail

$

Original Thread (closed)

I needed to find out who was forwarding voicemails. Looking in the folder where the voicemails are stored, for each extension (/var/spool/asterisk/voicemail/device/###) there is the .wav file and a .txt file for each VM. The txt file has a field called origmailbox. If the voicemail was a forward then the original extension will be assigned to that field. (origmailbox=999) means the VM came from 999. If the VM is just a regular VM then the extension will show in that field. Lots of other info in that file as well.

Thanks,

Well if you keep it all on the same system, you have to do it by version. So if you’re on 12 you have to be the GUI AND the system updates to the last current versions for that release. Then you need to do the 12 to 13 conversion and then 13 to 14. All the same the system must be updated per each version to the last current release of that version.

Of course, if you don’t mind bringing up a new system you can use the conversion tool that will take your old box move/transfer/convert the data to a new box. Would allow you to review changes, etc.

Thanks much. I’m going to do my best to get this done this summer. We have our own PBX here in our Christian College and Church, etc. which has saved us a ton of money on phone lines, etc… We had trouble for many years with the traditional copper line PBX systems getting lightening in them as we are connected across multiple buildings. We finally ditched all that and ran fiber optics between all locations on campus now with the voip system of Free PBX and it has saved thousands. Thanks for all you guys do to provide this system.

System with Admin Module Pro reports: 255 RPMs available for upgrade

However, when I use the System Updates feature, it reports this information back and does not update.

Tried: yum clean metadata but that didn’t help.

Suggestions?

I am not sure if using the T58V for a T58A phone would cause this? I’ve done it with other models no issues.

Music on Hold: randomly not working for incoming calls

Hello everyone,

Thank you very much for the great product and for all the advice available from the community.

I setup a VPS with freepbx last August and I kept an eye on it to make sure that everything was working fine before going live in my company.
In all this months I never experienced a problem, no downtime, no apparent intrusion attempt (I allow only specific IP, custom port and a few more recommendations from this forum and some experience with website and mail VPS).

My trunk is with voip.ms and it works all the time.
The only issue I am experiencing so far is with music on hold.
I use it as a ringtone for a group and sometimes caller hears the music, sometimes ringing, sometimes nothing.
In the MOH folder I have only 1 file.

Looking at Full log appears that the system starts MOH every time so I really don’t understant where the issue is. Maybe on voip.ms side?

Thanks a lot

Fab

Well first lets see what actual tables are being locked up and then we can figure out what to do about it. This could be locking a completely unrelated table for EPM.

@PitzKey First, yes the S505 and S500 are on the same firmware. Where can I pull the full call log? The CEL seems to show that the phone in question (ext 110) did hangup on this test call to 2003:

You might be the lucky one. My system ran the 250-ish upgrades just fine, rebooted, and now it’s not activated. The portal also isn’t letting me deactivate the deployment, so I’m stuck without Admin Pro and EPM until that gets resolved. I opened a support ticket, but suspect I may be stuck undoing all the upgrades - yuck. That’ll teach me to try to stay up to date!
