I’d just like to see better clean up of old threads and management of duplicate threads no matter what system is used.
There’s just too much of someone opening a 2+ year old thread with “I’m having this issue too” and that’s it. Along with too many duplicate threads. Today is a good example of almost a half dozen threads about the mirrors not working. I know some of this is user side stuff but some management/guidance is needed with those cases/users.

Hi All,
I am new to FreePBX and I have inherited a system to support. I need to add a second site, which is connected by s2s VPN, but I also need local dialtone with POTS lines. I have a card and a server, but need a little recommendation. Is it possible to tie a 2nd server into the main system with the local cards or would it be better to build a completely separate system for the 2nd office.

UnixODBC update
I have solved this. I found on the Internet, how to update the repository.
curl -s https://packages.microsoft.com/config/rhel/7/prod.repo | sudo tee /etc/yum.repos.d/msprod.repo
Then I was able to update unixODBC to the latest version 2.3.7
I am currently using FreeTDS to connect to Microsoft SQL Server and planning to switch to the Microsoft SQLSRV driver, which requires the lastest version of unixODBC for connection pooling support. The database is used in AGI to get and update external data.

If you install a server to use the card in, it would be a separate server anyway, but you can “link” the new server with the original one through a trunk, whether SIP or IAX, whichever you choose. Since you have a s2s VPN between the two places, you can route the trunk through it and connect both places. To make it easier just make sure you choose different extension numbering, for example if the original place has extensions in the 1xxx range, use 2xxx for the new place.
