Having proper CallerID will also help since the other side could reject it for incorrect/unknown CallerID. Sending 204 as the CallerID number means no one can tell who you are or call you back.

– Executing [s@macro-outbound-callerid:31] ExecIf(“SIP/204-00000105”, “1?Set(CALLERID(all)=204)”) in new stack

Nothing seems specified. This is not really breaking anything, as I can set it in the sipsettings now after restore, but I am unclear why it is not default.

Question about an oldie but goodie (module)

Good morning. Does anyone know if the VMNotify module is now gone? Wiki shows version 13, but on my v15 box, I’m not seeing it listed. I’m thinking it may have finally been put out to pasture, but would like to confirm.

Thanks.

the fpbx is in a vm, so I thought the problem was not enough resources, so I gave it more ram, then I gave it a second cpu core, so now it has 2 cpu cores & 4gb ram & only 22 extensions…Should this not be enough?

It’s a fair number of endpoints. Try using multicast, it will drop resource usage way down.

Can you tell us a bit more about this install? Was it a Sangoma distro install, like with the FreePBX iso, or something else? If you’re seeing all that output on fwconsole commands, it could be unrelated but that seems strange.

Is it possible to use some kind of system hook to park a call or transfer a call?

I use Node Red to great effect to flip call flows on and off. It’s fantastic.

I was wondering if I could do that (or something similar) to tell the server to park a call on a given extension and/or transfer it to another?

Ideally after the the signal is sent to the server (Node Red executes a command on the server) the call would be placed on hold for say 10 seconds then after 10 seconds it would ring at the second extension.
Failing that I’d be quite happy(!) for it to simply just start ringing at the second extension without the ‘on hold’ jazz.

Anyone know if this is possible?

Thank you - love FREEPBX!

page pro is required if you want things like a scheduled mcast page , or to assign the mcast page a local extension on the PBX

other wise you simply make the necessary endpoint configs which are the listening address and port - from that point you can define a button on most phones to initiate the multicast page

it also has the benefit for cloud and large deployments of not opening up X number of calls at once - instead it completely localizes resource impact to the local lan and the devices on that lan segment listening for the mcast stream
