Not really, I already showed you how  , you can ‘force’ (-v) a verbose (-v) rotation of any log with

logrotate -f -v /etc/logrotate.d/asterisk

Fop2 over HTTPS

Hi,

We are using Fop2 on multiple servers on http but now want to use a SSL Cert for it. We have been using SSL Certs on our PBX for years but not for Fop2 as its never worked.

Here is some of our config:

In the file /usr/local/fop2/fop2.cfg

ssl_certificate_file=/etc/httpd/pki/webserver.crt
ssl_certificate_key_file=/etc/httpd/pki/webserver.key

In the file /etc/httpd/conf.d/ssl.conf

SSLCertificateFile /etc/httpd/pki/webserver.crt
SSLCertificateKeyFile /etc/httpd/pki/webserver.key

This works: http://xxxx.xxxx.com:7866/fop2/
This doesnt work: https://xxxx.xxxx.com:10000/fop2/
But access to the server via https and port 10000 works: https://xxxx.xxxx.com:10000/

FreePBX version 14.0.13.28
Asterisk Version 13.18.4

Any suggestions?

New and greatly improved Firewall!

An issue that this new approach reintroduced, at least for me, is that if you are using iptables and fail2ban manually, the reload hooks wipe out all the manual configuration. Since intrusion detection will now not work without the firewall module at least installed, now I can’t use manually defined rules. I tried looking when the iptables rules are deleted, but can’t find it on my own.
I opened a bug report when this first started, a couple years ago, and the solution at that time was to check against the md5 hash of the default iptables rules file and don’t delete it if the hash was different. Maybe this new situation is somehow related to that? The md5 hash check is still present on sysadmin hooks but somehow the manual rules get wiped out if the firewall module is installed with the firewall itself being disabled.

That’s not a simple question.

  1. If you just want to block an extension from dialing external numbers (other than 112 and other emergency numbers), you can use the CallerID field of Outbound Routes, and/or set up a route above the regular non-emergency routes that matches the restricted extensions and has no trunks. However, this has various loopholes. For example, the restricted user could set up forwarding to an external number, then call his extension from his mobile.

  2. A restriction system without the above issues is https://wiki.freepbx.org/display/FPG/Extension+Routing . Although there is no cost, this is a commercial module (not open source) and requires your system to be properly configured and activated.

  3. If you also want to restrict access to system features e.g. disallow parking calls or retrieving voicemail, you can purchase https://wiki.freepbx.org/display/FPG/Class+of+Service-Admin+Guide .

  4. If you need really fine control e.g. allow a user to retrieve his own voicemail but not someone else’s, even if he knows their password, you will need to write your own dial plan code.

There is always the oldie but goldie “custom contexts” module, it’s a little scary to get your head around but still works well.

I know we can change the the AMI settings from Advanced Settings and override it. But if we want do this from file, what file we have to change??? or we have to change it from DB?

amportal.conf worked for old versions, but changing the ASTMANAGERPORT in this files, didn’t helped in version 15.

Please advise. Thank you.

There’s an entire tab of the GUI dedicated to letting you do custom rules

Example:

How is your webserver configured to serve the (presumably /var/www/html/fop2) directory ?

You will need to know the port and it’s relative location with respect to the ‘webroot’ , these data these are likely sonewhere in /etc/httpd/sites-enabled/*

Call Tranfsers

This change let me put it in the trunk. Besides the warm transfer functionality, I think we are almost there. The only other issue I am having is that the caller (customer) and callee(queue agent) can both use #48. The caller (customer) cannot use ## or *2, it just seems to be #48.

Any idea on what needs to be adjusted in the dialplan to stop the caller(customer) from using #48?

Is it the self/caller component of [applicationmap](+)?

Thanks!

it did not work i think there was a typo error “module reload logger” should be ‘module reload logger’

No, single or double quoting should work here. I would start with rasterisk -x "logger reload" , re-loading the module seems a little heavy handed, but then again I don’t experience your problem

Because India does have a ‘closed’ dial schema, start with

National calls are 0ZXXXXXXXXXX, always 0 followed by 1-9, then 9more digits, intenational 00ZXXXXX. 00 followed by 1-9 ,then at least 5 more digits (The Soloman Islands) Take whatever you consider ‘local’ and what is’out of state’ and specific prefixes so building out from there

Setting up a trunk to receive calls from AVOXI

$

Hi all.

I have used FreePBX for years and never had a problem but I really don’t know how to configure this trunk and I am sure it is easy to people who know so any help greatly appreciated.
I have purchased a number with AVOXI and then are forwarding the calls to my static IP address. There is no username or password and I have 3 IP addresses the call may come in from.

I have opened all three IP addresses through the router for 5060 and I have also set up the three IP addresses in the FreePBX Firewall as trusted.

I have the DNIS they are sending and the SIP signalling IP address.

I am sure it must be easy but I have always set up trunks with usernames, passwords and register strings so if someone can point me in the right direction I would really appreciate it.

Thanks

Mark
