Yealink "Hold" function not working

$

Thanks Lorne.

He initially had some problems with parking, but his network was all screwed up. We got that sorted out and he was able to park. He said and I take it with a grain of salt that it “ALL” worked 3 days ago when they were training the users. Then, “All of a sudden” it wouldn’t work. We updated the phones to the latest phone firmware available in Endpoint Manager.

I guess I hadn’t spent enough time (13 seconds maybe  ) on how th ephone Hold would work, but that makes sense.

Using DDNS in Chan_SIp external IP sending Local Lan ip

We are trying to figure out DDNS and how to implement it for failover for SIP trunks.

I tested with our provider ESI on two different systems.

Here is how I set it up, on both systems.
Enabled DDNS in System Admin Pro, got correct external IP
Went to Asterisk SIP settings Put into General and Chan_SIp settings the DDNS url in the External IP , left the Type of IP the same at static. Applied Config. Made test calls. On my system the calls went OUT fine, On the customers system the call was rejected by ESI. I did a TCPdump and found out that the failed call was sending the internal LAN IP of the phone system.

Here is the system info for both:

My system.
Fpbx 10.13.66.17
Sys Admin Pro 13.0.74.14

Customer system
Fpbx 10.13.66.20

I know right!!! We just moved over to this system yesterday and so far thats the only bug we see. Ive been banging my head trying to figure it out. I just realized this morning its ONLY when it rings back. It has no issue as long as you pick it up. My work around-ish was to set the parking lot for 9 minutes in hopes we pick up the call before 9 minutes.

Cant access web interface

Did you ever figure this out. I am having this issue right now on a few PBXact I am currently installing. Only 1 computer is able to access the interface and i confirmed the firewall is off. From that PC i am checking everything and it all seems to be configured with no issues. I have tried from a local server and a laptop but they will not connect. However the laptop that originally set up the PBX (in a different network) does have access to it…

Try using http (you can duplicate the current template and just change to http instead of https)

If it doesn’t work, open a ticket with Sangoma, support for Sangoma Shones is free.

Hello Itzik,

thank you so very much. This was my main problem.
i have searched (as i have created a new queue) the 2nd command to log off an log on the agent on queue 2.

one last question:
is there a possibility to activate the call flow control so: *280 e.g.1? i mean on = *2801 and off= *2800?
Or can i combine one command like *123 that does:

  1. *280 = on and *281 = off ? in one command?

thank you very much you has helped me so much! thank you!!

well the issue is we are with FreePBXHosting.com and they are running 11 until the 11 to 13 tool is fully functional I guess. They don’t recommend doing the upgrade until then.

You can change major Asterisk versions on the fly.
The not yet fully functional upgrade tool that you are referring to is most likely the script to upgrade from your current distro to the new SNG 7, with Freepbx 14, CentOS 7, etc.
But that’s a completely different beast than upgrading an asterisk version only.

I have been using Freepbx for last 4months now, suddenly today i saw some mysterious calls like
outbound calls from extension 1114 where as there is no extension 1114.

How can I prevent this? How can this happen? What are measures i should take? Need help on this ASAP.

I believe it’s possible, but you will need some custom code for this.

Responsive firewall constantly blocking remote users

Hi Folks,

Im using ZOIPER on Android, with openVPN for Android from Arne Schwabe.

It works well most of the time. I’m travelling a lot, right now I’m in Oman for example.

I have RF deactivated, since it always blocks my VPN users. I use yealink with the yealink VPN implementation to an openVPN Server running OpenMediaVault that’s also my file storage and providing as host for my freepbx VM in Virtualbox.

I did go for FreePBX 14/14 while it was still beta. All updates done.

Now I just tried to reactivate my ZOIPER on my Android, but Fail2Ban always kills the IP from my openVPN server. It happens after the ZOIPER phone starts registering. After I switch f2b off, everything works fine.

As long as I’m registered its fine, I could switch f2b back on, but after i change wifi or have bad network coverage and the VPN gets killed, it will take some time for restarting the VPN and while this, or right after that, I’ll get banned again.

No clue as to what I have to change on ZOIPER to make sure it wont get banned.

Anny suggestions-? Thanks!
Manne
