What other ports are needed to get Zulu Audio to work?

Audio is the RTP range:

Self Identification - Data Pass through
Can I do that in the queue module, or will I need to pull this into a custom context to make it happen? From my own searches I do not see a way to make a system recording dynamic. My ideal end state is keeping this all in the GUI, so others can edit it easier.
Thanks!
Self Identification - Data Pass through
You’ll need some custom code for that.
However, you mentioned that you can change the CID but you don’t wanna mess it up. Would a Prefix work for you?
Yeah, Baby!
Ughhhh… You couldn’t wait another 5 days? Lol
Btw, whats the machine specs?
Firewall Status > Status Overview won't load
@xrobau spruced this up recently. Give Firewall 13.0.47.2 a try.
Upgrade 13 to 14?
Yes. Distro ver is as shown in System Admin, Activation.
No Audio in Zulu Softphone
All those ports are opened… Phones have audio just not the Zulu client… Ill get the ringback tone… but once its answered nothing.
Using hash/pound key in call
I’ve fixed it with myself. Please try with this step.
- Go to Connectivity --> Trunks --> choose Trunk with Provider (edit)
- in PJSIP Settings tab: Advanced --> DTMF Mode: inband
- Submit
No Audio in Zulu Softphone
So I tried something… and decided to call an extension and an outside number to the PSTN - So it dials the minute i Pick up no Audio, but the minute i put the call on hold I hear music. Now at the same time ive been looking at my firewall logs — I see when making calls and get no audio I see the pbx opening a random port to 52019 UDP (That number always changes ). The minute I put it on hold it switches to a port within the RTP Audio ports (10000 - 20000) and I get audio ( Only the MOH ). What could be the problem?
Steps to getting FreePBX to work with Office 365 email
This may be noted somewhere in this thread, though after weeks of not being able to get it to work reliably, I made one additional adjustment that seems to have reliably resolved the issue.
The email from the PBXact/FreePBX system needs to be sent from a registered O365 user. This is in addition to the authorized user name on the settings tab.
I will work to get screenshots if anyone is interested.
Questions about soft-clients
Is the best-practice to set up soft-client users with the same extension as their traditional endpoint extension number or create a new extension exclusively for soft-client usage.
I can think of advantages and disadvantages both ways so I thought tossing it out for discussion would be beneficial.
Thank you in advance for your responses.
CallerID in Sip From Header
How do you sole this…?
is there any parameter where we can set the callerid from dialplan for the sip ?
Freepbx, SIP and NAT
I’ve run freepbx for a while on my home phone system but I’ve never tried to configure an external SIP Trunk.
I remember looking at SIP and NAT and Firewall and never being able to get that going.
Time to try again.
First of all… if I have a Firewall ( linux box doing ip tables nat masquerade ) any my freepbx box is behind it on a 10.x.x.x. network… is it possible to connect to a SIP provider like Flowroute and have two way communications? I saw things like STUN, ICE, and a few other protocols.
I followed the flowroute freepbx SIP tutorial and got a SIP connection going, but calls were not going over the Flowroute Sip Trunk I setup.
I think that SIP works better if you don’t have to NAT and route ports… but will it work good enough so I don’t have to put my freepbx with a public ip address ( I only have 1… so if I do this… the freepbx box has to also be my Internet Router for my home network )
Thanks - jack
Hiding Dashboard From Other Admins
Hi Jimmy
We have the same point, would be nice to have the dashboard also in the access list, that you can give the permissions to a user or not.

Upgrade From FPBX 13 to 14 issue
I got it down to 16 extra peers. The ones that begin 99xxx are from WebRTC. I still can figure out where the other ones 9999xxx are coming from. I upgraded another system and didn’t have this issue but the WebRTC wasn’t on that system. I think it created some bogus extensions but there is no way to remove them except maybe editing a database.

Which CNAM source?
what about interfacing with a service like 800notes.com? instead of cnam, I check against phone numbers. If I get a hit from 800notes.com, I terminate the call. If I don’t get a hit on 800notes.com but the number looks fishy, I send them to voicemail.
800notes.com have a few false positives… but for my home pbx smam filter, I can live with a few of those. Not sure how it would work in a business environment.
